New Update - A Response To Player Feedback

Hi,

Being busy these last weeks, beside the developing and writing stuff, also included some marketing and shameless self promotion. First time I did it, felt a bit odd, but getting the word across to people that are interested in this type of a game brought me a dozen of play testers. Based on some great feedback I got them, I implemented some updates to the game and made some fixes.

VISUALS, CAMERA AND UI

-Lot of feedback was regarding the UI elements. Every notification now has a stylized black background for better visibility of the text inside.

- I've updated the lighting in the Afternoon part of the day, and sun source of lightning now provides a more vibrant look to the games environment. Also reduced the fog effect so that far out objects are more visible.

- Lot of feedback was also regarding the camera, with majority of players wanting more zoom out options to better see the surrounding and to easily walk to further areas, which reduces the clicking amount. I want to mitigate this completely by implementing the Hold-To-Move option with mouse. That feature will be coming in the next update.

- Player running speed is also slightly adjusted to be faster.

BUGFIXES
- Many typos in dialogues, and applying valid checks in some dialogue lines that correspond with the spoken line thematically and logically.

- Clicking on interactable objects that have a short description is now fixed and the text will not be spawning and despawning more than player input was.

Generally, a lot of feedback was very positive regarding the story, the characters and immersion factor of the game, which is something I'm most proud of. Writing stories is a big passion of mine and having people react well to a story I wrote is something I couldn't even imagine.

And once again, big thanks to all the players and the valuable feedback you gave me. It gave me a valid critique of the game but also the confidence to press on further with the development of the project. Anyone who wishes to help me develop this project even further, feel free to contact me.

I will be uploading a new video with gameplay on Youtube, probably a full demo recorded.  And I am also preparing a pitch deck for the project, so next update might be a bit later than expected. Wish me luck. :)
